This Christmas will go down in my history as being one of the best ever! We started the holidays with Eric, Chrissy, & Abby coming on the 20th. That day (Saturday) we had our family Christmas party with our kids & grandkids. We all opened gifts, and had a turkey & ham dinner with all the trimmings, which I had spent days preparing. I loved every minute of it too. The next day on Sunday, we all went to church, that morning and again that evening. Julie was singing with the children's choir in their Christmas Program during the evening service. What a wonderful feeling it was for Gary and I to have all our family together in Church!
Eric, Chrissy and Abby stayed with us until the 23rd, and then went home to start their own Christmas traditions and memories. We knew Julie would be leaving on Christmas Day to spend Christmas with the Fosters, so we quickly packed a few things, and the next morning headed for Marshall. We went to my brother Robert's home for the Davidson family Christmas Party on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas Day we went to Gary's brother Hal's home for the Evans' family Christmas Party. The next day after Christmas, we headed back to Flowood. We had the entire weekend left when we got home, so we got all the decorations down and back up into the attic. Christmas was over, and we still had time for just the two of us to spend some time together again. If every Christmas could go so well for the rest of my life, I would have my Christmas prayers answered!
